Megan’s clinical approach blends the cutting-edge science of Functional Medicine Nutrition with the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda. When working with clients, her goal is always to identify the underlying cause(s) of imbalance that are perpetuating dis-ease. For each individual, Megan custom selects the appropriate dietary, lifestyle, nutraceutical, and/or botanical therapies that will allow healing to unfold naturally. Megan's areas of clinical strength and passion lie in women’s reproductive health and infertility as well as in the treatment of gastrointestinal disorders. Megan has extensive experience working with small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO) and other GI disturbances and food sensitivities. Megan also has the privilege of working with men and women who are hoping to conceive naturally or with ART.
Outside of her private practice, Megan has had the good fortune to serve as a Functional Medicine Nutritionist at Stone Medical P.C., in Ashland, Oregon. There, she has the absolute privilege of being mentored by one of the pioneers in Functional Medicine, Dr. Michael Stone, MD, MS., IFMCP. Megan collaborates with Dr. Stone to lead group medical visits and to consult individually with a wide variety of patients at Stone Medical.
In her spare time, you'll find Megan going on long hikes in Southern Oregon mountains, water skiing on beautiful freshwater lakes, singing together in a circle of women, or sipping Puerh tea (gong fu style) and reading her favorite fantasy novels aloud with her best friend and husband, Andrew Murphy-Rouse and their four-legged firstborn, Zuka, the coolest cat EVER.
